The innovative vision and tireless efforts of our founder, Charlene Campbell, have been instrumental in creating an environment where learning happens purposefully, interactively, and organically.

Inspired by her international experiences and personal mission to foster culture, curiosity, and education, Charlene established GVA in 2020 to provide a safe, diverse, interactive, and flexible learning environment that supports students and offers opportunities for real-world learning experiences. Global Virtual Academy empowers learners to go beyond textbooks and take learning into their own hands, offering a global perspective through its curriculum.

Charlene’s global journey has played a significant role in shaping the foundation and principles of Global Virtual Academy. From her certification in Youth Leadership at Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney, Australia, to her bachelor’s in education from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, Charlene has collected diverse and rich experiences in the field of education. Her tenure as a Foreign Training Consultant with The Walt Disney Company: Disney English in Shanghai, China, further enriched her understanding of immersive storytelling and interactive learning, principles that are embedded in Global Virtual Academy’s education program.

Moreover, Charlene’s experience in the International Baccalaureate division of a Chinese school, where her leadership helped to significantly increase test scores, contributes to the unique and global perspective that Global Virtual Academy brings to online education. Her role there, which culminated in the position of Director of Teacher Development, is testament to her expertise and dedication in the field of education.

Under Charlene’s leadership, Global Virtual Academy has already started making an impact. Students from around the world have successfully engaged with various parts of the program, expressing satisfaction and continual interest in returning. This success is largely attributed to Charlene’s dedication and hands-on approach to managing operations. With the foundation now firmly established, we are ready and excited to expand and serve more learners worldwide.
