Will my child be able to attend college or university after graduating from Global Virtual Academy?
Yes. In fact, we even have dual enrollment options for students who are interested and show college readiness.
We provide accredited courses culminating to a globally recognized high school diploma through our EdOptions Academy program. As a trusted provider to over 8000+ school districts, our students receive a premium education from wherever they are located.
EdOptions Academy is fully accredited by Cognia™. Under the accreditation, Cognia ensures that EdOptions Academy students can transfer the credits they earn to other institutions. This accreditation grants EdOptions Academy the unique ability to offer high school credits and diplomas recognized by schools and colleges across the country and around the world. EdOptions Academy is also approved by the NCAA® Eligibility Center to offer nontraditional instruction to student athletes.
In what time zone is the live help and scheduled classes?
Central Standard Time (CST)
Scheduled classes occur once a week for 30-60 minutes in small class sizes no larger than 10 students.
Daily, Live, Face-to-Face Drop-In help rooms are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Students can drop-in any time and receive the live help they need from subject-specific certified teachers. Students find this flexibility and immediate access to live help particularly rewarding.

Yes. We provide accredited courses culminating to a globally recognized high school diploma through our EdOptions Academy program partnership. Just as brick and mortar schools partner with online course providers to supplement courses, we have partnered with one of the best educational technology programs as an addition to our in-house program offerings such as educational activities, personalized administrators for each student, guided college preparation, and dual enrollment options.

As a parent, what are my responsibilities?
As a fully comprehensive program, our administrators and teachers contact students on a continual basis to ensure their ongoing success.
Teachers hold classes once and week and are available daily on-demand at the click of a button in subject specific help rooms Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm CST.
Students complete assignments at their own pace and they are graded by the teacher. All completed courses appear on an easily accessible unofficial transcript on the students dashboard. Official transcripts will be created upon request.
Should the need arise, parents are asked to reply to communications from teachers and administrators in a timely manner. Outside of this, parents may request a login to personally stay up-to-date on their child’s progress.
